Care provider Anchor Hanover has appointed Rob Martin to its executive board as managing director of care services with effect from 1 March.
Martin (pictured) takes on the role from Mark Greaves, who has run the operation since 2015 following the acquisition of 24 care homes from LNT Group.
Martin is currently director of care quality at England’s largest not-for-profit care provider, which operates 114 care homes as well as extra care and retirement communities, providing services to a total of 60,000 older people.
Martin has been working as part of Anchor Hanover’s senior leadership team since 2013 and has more than 20 years’ experience in health and social care.
One of Rob’s first roles was as a registered care home manager in north-west England. After leaving school, he served with 40 Regiment in the Royal Artillery for almost seven years.
Anchor Hanover chief executive Jane Ashcroft CBE said: “We have a commitment to supporting colleagues to develop their careers at Anchor Hanover so I’m delighted that Rob Martin is joining the executive board.
“He takes over a service which has remained high performing despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. I would like to thank Mark Greaves for his outstanding contribution to the organisation and wish him continued success in his next ventures.”
Martin added: “I am honoured to take on this role and look forward to building on the organisation’s 50 years of history to ensure all our care services are places where people can love living in later life.”
