The importance of online learning during the pandemic

The pandemic has led to an explosion in online learning in recent months. Here, Sophie Hammond, short course manager at e-learning provider Laser Systems explains what is on offer for professional development in the social care sector.

You do not stop learning and developing when you leave formal education, there are so many opportunities out there for lifelong learning.

As we enter the workplace and get comfortable in our job roles, it can be easy to lose sight of our ambitions, the subjects we wanted to learn more about, or the areas we wanted to improve upon because we are so focused on our daily tasks and responsibilities.

For many of us, the national and local lockdowns have been a real opportunity to reflect on where we are in our careers and where we want to go.
