Hartford Care chief celebrates 20 years with company

Hartford Care chief executive Sean Gavin is celebrating his 20th anniversary with the Hampshire-based care provider.

Gavin was appointed finance director in 2000 with the then Whites Motor Group.  After his arrival, Whites Group changed its commercial direction from the motor industry to care homes - Hartford Care was formed, and Gavin took the lead as founding director and shareholder.

Since then, Gavin has been instrumental in growing and shaping Hartford Care, which now has a portfolio of 15 care homes located across southern England.

The company employs over 600 staff at the care homes and at its head office in Basingstoke in Hampshire.

Last year, Hartford Care was identified for the first time as one of London Stock Exchange Group’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain.

To mark Gavin's two decades with the company, head office staff, together with residents and teams at the care homes, made special celebratory videos, which were shared with him via the internet.

“It has been a remarkable 20 years but none of this could have happened without the support of an incredibly hard-working and dedicated team. Everybody has and continues to work tirelessly towards achieving our core goals,” said Gavin (pictured).

“I am so very proud of all of them and how they continue to focus on our goals of delivering the best possible care for our residents, especially during these very challenging times,” he added.
