Global Care sees bright prospects for Barnsley home

Birmingham provider Global Care has acquired the Prospect House care home in Barnsley following the retirement of the directors.

The purpose-built property provides accommodation for 33 residents across two floors, most of which have ensuite bedrooms.

Prospect House in South Yorkshire had operated within a larger group of homes for many years.

Healthcare Property Consultants (HPC) acted for the vendors in acquiring the property sold for an undisclosed sum.

“The home has been run by an experienced operator and maintains good occupancy levels. I have known these clients for over 20 years, and this is the sixth sale HPC has transacted on their behalf,” said HPC director Ian Wilkie.

Speaking on behalf of the purchasers, Billy Dulay said, “Although this is our first care home, we have experience in the sector within our family, and we look forward to continuing to deliver the same high standards of care with the excellent staff team at Prospect House”.
