A care and sheltered housing development in Fife raised an incredible £525 for its tenants by holding a rocking music night.
Bield’s Grants Bank, in Dunfermline, invited members of the local community to its inaugural music night to raise money for its tenant’s social fund.
The night raised the amazing total thanks to donations and those involved kindly volunteering their time. The night was hosted by the Monarch Bar who supplied the event room for free and even helped with the posters and flyers for the night.
Fiona Miller, resource manager at Bield’s Grants Bank, says: “The night was a great hit and allowed us to raise a fantastic amount for the tenant’s social fund.
“It was wonderful to see the family of previous tenants and get to catch up with them as well as the family of current tenants. Everyone just came together to help support the development.
“We are so grateful to everyone who attended the event, donated or helped in any way. It was a huge success and we are definitely thinking of doing another.”
The night consisted of live music, disco, nibbles and a raffle. The prizes of the raffle consisted of bottles of alcohol, toiletries and vouchers for treatments - all of which were donations from local businesses, tenants, and family.
Local singer Jason Brand provided the music tonight along with his guitar, after that Colin Harrower got everyone up and dancing with a disco.
