LNT Care Developments has received planning permission to build a 66 bed care home on a site in Duston, Northampton.
Northampton Borough Council Planning Committee approved the planning application on 18 October 2016 for the care home, which will be owned and operated by Oakdale Care Group. The facility will provide a care home for those aged over 65 years.
Construction will begin on site in November, with a predicted completion date of September 2017. This site represents an excellent opportunity for a new care facility, in a prominent location fronting Timken Way South, sustainably located adjacent to the St Luke’s Primary Care Centre and the ‘key focal building’ at the gateway to the heart of the developing community on the former British Timken site.
Once complete, the home will be a much needed community facility contributing towards employment and integrating with the nearby local facilities, which include shops, churches and schools. It will provide outstanding accommodation with en-suite bedrooms, spacious communal areas and state of the art amenities and gardens.
