Cheltenham home sold to regional operator

Charlton Kings Care Home in Cheltenham has been sold by specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co.

The 34-bed residential care home, previously owned by a popular local businessman, is set in one of the most affluent areas of the Cotswold town.

It was acquired by regional operator Fidelia Care and is their second purchase following the acquisition of Lypiatt Lodge, a nursing home in Cheltenham, which they bought through Christie & Co in 2015.

Jonathan Southgate, business agent in Christie & Co’s Bristol office who handled the sale comments, “There was a high amount of interest and several bids on this care home mainly from independent local and regional parties. The sector is still going from strength to strength and follows many other successful sales we’ve seen this year in the South West of England.

“Fidelia Care is looking to invest in this home and develop it to a high standard. We wish them all the best for their new venture.”
